How do I connect my battery charger in a 24V application?
Guest battery chargers (2611, 2613, 2623, 2631) are pre-wired with both positive and negative leads for each battery. So you can connect the 5, 10, or 20 amp outputs to each (12V) battery regardless of a parallel, series, or independent set of 12 volt batteries. 6 volt batteries can be put in series and charged by connecting the postive lead of the charger tot he positive post on the first 6 volt battery and connecting the negative lead of the charger to the negative post of the second 6 volt battery.
How do Guest three-stage chargers work?
Bulk - the charger uses its full amp output to do the heaviest charging, quickly bringing your battery to about 75% of capacity.
Absorption - current flow slows, adjust to maximum efficiency, and gently tops off the battery to about 98% of capacity.
Float - applies a lower constant, closely regulated voltage to maintain full charge and prevent discharge.
Will I be able to charge different size batteries at the same time using a Guest charger?
Multi-leg, waterproof chargers are ideal for different sizes and work loads. You can pick a Guest battery charger with individual 5, 10 or 20 amp output charging circuits per battery to meet your personal needs.
Can I charge lead acid & gel cell batteries at the same time using Guest battery chargers?
Yes, if you are using most of Guests multi-leg, waterproof chargers you can mix and match as needed except the models 2610, 2610A, 2611A, 2611, 2613, and 2613A.
