Manufacturing a refrigerator that works in a RV, Truck, or Boat is challenging because of the inefficient cost to run a refrigerator using electricity. However, Norcold refrigerators provide an alternative to using an electrical compressor. Instead of using electricity, each unit has a gas burner that vaporizes a refrigerant (ammonia). The ammonia is then absorbed into liquid water, and as it does it cools and condenses.

Gas Absorption Refrigerator
One-Year Limited Warranty
Norcold warrants gas absorption refrigerators to be free from defect for a period of(1) one-year from the date of purchase as long as the refrigerator is used for personal,family or domestic purposes. Gas absorption refrigerators used in commercial applications are warranted for a period of (90) ninety days from the date of purchase.
Dual Electric Refrigerator
Two-Year Limited Warranty
Norcold warrants to the original purchaser, dual electric refrigerators to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of (2) two-years from the date of purchase as long as the refrigerator is used for personal, family, or domestic purposes. Dual
electric refrigerators used in commercial marine applications are warranted for a period of (90) ninety days from the date of purchase. The limited warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
