    Ronstan V-CleatsT are simple yet effective rope cleating devices. Manufactured from PTFE impregnated, glass and carbon fibre reinforced composite material they are lightweight, corrosion proof and provide superior wear resistance to traditional plastic cleats. Computer generated tooth geometry provides a positive, self-cleating action on the line. For applications where constant line draw-through or very high loads are the added durability of alloy Clamcleats, or the opening action of Ronstan cam cleats are recommended.

    Clamcleat Cleats
    A comprehensive range of cleats and accessories offering simple, practical solutions for virtually any rope holding application. A deceptively simple ridged 'V' groove holds ropes firmly, yet is devoid of any moving parts to break or seize. It allows the immediate release of rope by a short upward and backward pull.

  • Marine Grade Nylon Cleats offer very good value for money for most rope cleating applications. They are corrosion proof and will last for many years outdoors. Where high loads or surges are encountered aluminium cleats are recommended.
  • Aluminium Cleats are highly successful in providing a complete answer to 'rope burn'. They are unaffected by the heat generated by a rope surging back through the cleat as well as being suitable for sub-zero temperatures. Corrosion resistance is good.

    The Patented extruded hole design, in conjunction with the groove profile of the sheave, provides a more powerful grip than conventional designs - up to 25:1 holding power (100mm, 4" size). The anodized alloy sheave ensures maximum durability and strength-to-weight.

  • Acetal sheave with Acetal ball bearings - efficient, lightweight all plastic sheave assemblies with ball bearings to take axial and thrust loads. Totally corrosion proof.
  • Alloy sheave with Torlon ball bearings - oversize Torlon ball bearings minimize friction and provide superior rolling performance. The narrow anodized alloy sheave is ideally suited to small diameter modern fibre control lines.

    Standard Dee Shackles
    The standard dimensional format shackle providing high load capacity and compact size. Smaller size bodies are produced from formed stainless steel sheet, whilst larger size bodies are from turned bar, coined at the ends. Pin heads are available in compact 'slotted' or 'coined' for finger or tool adjustment and some pin heads are drilled for the fitting of a securing wire.

    Long Dee Shackles
    Similar in features to the standard dee shackles, long dee shackles have a longer internal length clearance for fitting to longer or irregular shaped objects with a greater distance between fixing points, such as attaching an outhaul line to a press ring on a sail.

    Wide Dee Shackles
    Similar in features to the standard dee shackles, wide dee shackles have a wider internal width clearance for fitting to wider, irregular shaped or multiple objects. Their point load B.L. is generally lower than that of standard pin length shackles.

    Twisted Shackles
    Similar in features to the standard dee shackles, twisted shackles allow fixing of 2 objects with a 90 degree change in their orientation, such as attaching twin jib sheets to clew board.

    Bow Shackles
    Similar in features to the standard dee shackles, bow shackles have a wider internal width clearance for fitting to wider, irregular shaped or multiple objects, but with a standard pin width that doesn't reduce compromise the point load B.L.

    Halyard Shackles
    Specifically designed for halyard applications, these shackles feature a closed eye section at the top to retain the halyard at all times and a captive shackle pin to avoid accidental dropping and loss. The halyard retaining pin is removable to allow fitting of a pre-spliced halyard eye end, and the shackle pin is engaged by a quick action pin that requires only one quarter turn to tighten or loosen, has an anti-vibration retaining lug and a long lever head for easy one handed engagement.

    Lightweight Clevis Pin Shackles
    With lightweight formed bodies, these shackles provide the lightest weight solution for a nominal pin size, where load capacity isn't as critical. They utilize split pin securing of the shackle pin for reliable fitting without tools.

    Special Slotted Shackles
    These shackles have non standard dimensional proportions allowing them to provide the most compact solution in certain specialist applications. Slotted head pins contribute to the efficient minimizing of space.

    Swivel Shackles
    These shackles provide full 360 degree rotation for variable alignment of the two items being linked. They have convenient pin attachment at each end and some models have ball bearings for free rotation even at high loads.

    Ronstan shackle

    2 Way Links
    These items allow the alignment of two objects to be rotated 90 degrees relative to each other. They provide a convenient, more compact solution that has traditionally been addressed by linking two shackles. They also provide pivoting movement in two planes - about each of the pins.

    Standard Snap Shackles
    High Strength to Weight Ratio. The standard snap shackle configuration providing fixed eye or 360 degree rotating eye, toggle etc.

    Trunnion Snap Shackles
    360 degree Rotation and Side to Side Articulation. Trunnion snap shackles can move in two planes (rotating eye and pivoting body) to provide optimum articulation. Trunnion snap shackles are designed to maintain correct load orientation in applications where standard shackle movement might be restricted.
