Norton SG A975 sanding discs combine Norton SG seeded-gel and premium, heat-treated grains for the most aggressive yet coolest cut, with maximum resistance to dulling. This results in higher cut rates and as much as 2:1 the normal operating life over competitive brands. The water-based stearate No-Fil coating provides maximum load resistance, extending life even further. These discs save time and money by allowing users to do more with each disc in less time. A975 grade paper on hook and loop Speed-Grip discs offer the longest life and fastest cut for any sanding job. The Norton 6 inch back up pad is required to use these discs to the best of their ability. I have tested most of the velcro-backed sandpapers on the market and this is by far the best. It is a ceramic grit and just lasts forever. I use it for sanding wood - I make wooden bowls for galleries and spend about two hours a day sanding on a regular basis. This is production work, day in and day out. I hate sanding and have gone to great lengths to make it as efficient (yet effective) as possible. The price may seem high at first, but it lasts so long that it is the least expensive paper I can find.
