Aqua-Buff 1000 is used in the first stage of compounding to be followed up with Aqua-Buff 2000. Duratec Aqua-Buff products are made for heavy duty compounding and polishing applications. Use Aqua-Buff to clean heavily oxidized gel coat and topside paints, and to yield a shiny polished finish. A water-based formula makes Aqua-Buff environmentally safe. These products are formulated so you should only need half as much compound as other traditional buffing compounds and polishes. The Aqua-Buff 1000 and Aqua-Buff 2000 come in two gallon pails.

I use the 2000 as a finishing compound on every new boat that leaves the shop. It gives an unmatched gloss and mirror shine. It also saves time and money with repairs, because it easily buff's out 800 grit sand paper scratches and saves me having to use finer paper.
