I used buff Magic you need to use a lot of it to get results.
But the result are not as good as using Meguiar's PlastX the shine of this stuff looks like a new boat. I'll stick with PlastX.

I just got done using the Buff Magic on my 1990 233XL Regal Ambassador. The results are amazing !! Use the products as the directions describe and you too will be seriously impressed. I bought this boat after it set for two - three years and it the oxidation was horrendous to say the least. Used it on the chrome railings and even the steering wheel with optimal results.
Tip: Use a polisher with the Buff Magic and follow behind with orbital when placing on the polish or boat wax. Pay attention to the types of pads that are recommended in the industry area.

Buff magic is OK. I used it with good results but not great results. I saw the ship shape show as well and bought the whole shabang...the buff magic, random orbital polisher, extra pads foam and wool, pro polish, bag and other misc stuff from them.
It works and goes a long way. I had to go over it a few times to get satisfacotry results. But the random orbital unit is not powerful enough. I was in a boat yard where pros were polishing boats and they all used the 3M cutting compound and followed up with a wax or polish. They used a powerful grinder with large wool pad. The results they got were better than what I got and my boat was in better shape to start out with.
Next season I am buying a real grinder and the pro equipment. The difference was dramatic and they were done well ahead of me.
I think if your boat looks like new to start out with and you just need to polish it, this will be fine...but if you are trying to bring something back, go with what the pros use. (this is not it)

I have a 1987 Silverton 34c. When i bought it in '07 it looked like a chalk board.
In '08 i used 3M products with "okay" results, that didn't last but half the season.
The winter of '08-'09 i watched the ship-shape video of this product and read the rave reviews on the Silverton Owners Club website and wanted to give it a try. I used a 7" angle polisher at low speed with a compound pad.
Follow up with the Pro Polish for a mirror finish.
1-can of Buff Magic and 1-pint of Pro polish was enough to do the hull of my boat.
In all my years as a boat owner, this have been the best product I have used yet in dealing with oxidized gelcoat. You'll be impressed with the results!

I rubbed it in and buffed it by hand. Even before I started polishing you could see a big impovement.

I used it on my boat after it sat for two years, It was the best wax out of all that I tried. I decided to try it after seeing it on ShipShapeTV. They explained that this wax is used by Sea Ray on there new boats. I recommend it to everyone.

I have tried almost everything on the market and i saw the boat show Ship Shape and they aired this product so i gave it a try on my 2001 328 Vista Four Winns. I could not believe my eyes. The quality of this is amazing and so easy to use. My boat looks new and my friend came over and said what are you using because i can see myself in your gel coat. I will never use anything other than Buff majic again. I am very happy with a product and added valve to my boat.
