Comments about Victron Energy Victron Phoenix Inverter:

Got the 300W model. Good instructions, including details regarding what wire diameter to use when extending the DC feed. Works fine. You need your own SPST switch, 30A fuse holder, strain relief, and battery lugs if you want to install it right. It ran my laptop using the regular AC adapter with no problem, which is all I really wanted it for. Just installed 4/2011. Will see how it stands up to the salt air in the boat on the mooring.

Comments about Victron Energy Victron Phoenix Inverter:

I have a SFF computer onboard. Previous inverter made too much RF noise to run computer while trying to download weather fax on SSB. This inverter has no such problems. Very good quality construction, even DC power wires are tinned.
