Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I knowingly spent a little more on this one than others available, but have been very pleased. It is rugged and easy to read. Has all the functions you need. If you're going to do ignition work, you'll need a DVA adapter that isn't included here. I like the audible alarm feature so when you're checking continuity under the dash or in tight spots, no need to look, just listen for the beep.
This guy is autoranging, (no need to dial it in) so it takes out the human error factor. Also less likely to blow it out by improper use. It's accuracy is good. This one is worth the investment.
