Ancor Marine Grade Heat Shrink Tubing bonds tenaciously to insulating covers and terminals, producing a much stronger connection than the mechanical connection alone. Shrinks safely below the temperature at which insulation melts. Heat shrink tubing is also great for collecting and protecting cables. I spliced the trim sensor cable on my boat rather than pulling the drive and doing it the right way. Time will tell how this will hold up in salt water, but if I can get a few years out of it I am happy. I will replace it correctly the next time I have work done that requires the drive removal.

A hands down leader for Marine use. No comparison to hardware store head shrink tubing. The adhesive linning make all the difference for a robust mechanical/electrical connection.
