My negative experiences with this plug have been powering a thermoelectric cooler. Contact resistance is excessive due to poor contact materials (no copper alloys, or silver plating). The positive center pin slides in a plastic housing with a spring providing the contact pressure. Heat due to contact resistance distorts the plastic housing,causing a bind on the pin thereby reducing contact pressure. This further increases contact resistance. I could smell the burning plastic. It is now toast. This has happened previously with this model plug. Marinco seems to make quality products; but this plug is not one of them.
