Icom M-504 VHF radio offers a full array of features for commercial and serious recreational marine users. Along with superior VHF radio transmission and reception, M-504 integrates useful features that minimize the need for extra equipment. The radio accepts a GPS input signal from NMEA compatible GPS receivers to monitor ship position. Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) allows ships monitoring channel 70 to program in their unique radio ID for effective emergency management. GPS and DSC integration enables radio users to transmit Position Request and Position Report to nearby ships. This data can be integrated with NMEA compatible navigational instruments. A simple Distress button will broadcast ship position and nature of distress in the event of an emergency.

Aside from being very well constructed the great big rotary channel knob is great when the vessel is rocking in a sea and your trying to switch channels.Big easy to read LCD with descriptions for what each channel is used for.Class D DSC.Waterproof,hailer & foghorn
