Sierra Fuel Water Separators remove contaminants down to 28 microns. The spin-on canister style filter is constructed of marine grade stainless steel for ultimate corrosion protection and durability. 28 micron filter element is shaped into 66 pleats to increase filtration surface area while maintaining strong fuel flow. Fuel water separators are designed to mount immediately downstream of the fuel tank for a primary defense against contaminated fuel and phase separation issues. Fuel/Water separators are highly advised for any vessel, especially those using ethanol blended gasoline. These filters are not designed to be used with diesel fuel.
