Permatex High Tack Gasket Sealant is a fast drying liquid gasket sealer that dries to a highly tacky, non-brittle film. Red colored, all-purpose sealant that seals and bonds rubber, cork, paper, felt, metal, and asbestos gaskets. Quick setting, suitable from -65 F to 500 F. Resists gasoline, oil, kerosene, propane and butane.
Use High Tack Gasket Sealant not just for gaskets, but also for threaded connections, hose connections, weather stripping, waterproofing, tubeless tire beads, differential assemblies, filter line connections, and terminal protectors. Good for valve covers, carburetors, fuel pumps, and manifold gaskets on your car boat's engine.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Permatex sealants are good products. This stuff may seem old fashioned but mechanics still use it. The reason- it works. I like silicone sealants too but the old goops are worth using.
