Vetus permanent diesel fuel tanks made of rigid linear polyethylene for safe mounting below decks. Poly construction means Vetus tanks won't suffer from rust and corrosion problems, and are much less likely to explode compared to traditional metal tanks. The fuel level is visible from the outside for reliable fuel level checks.
Tanks can be ordered with a choice of three connection kits that include an aluminum cover, 38mm/50mm filler, 16mm vent connector, blind cover for fuel sender, return fuel line fitting and fuel supply connector for 8mm, 10mm or 15mm. A tank interconnection kit is also available which allows twin tank installation.
The 6.5 gallon tank includes installation kit. For all other size tanks, appropriately sized installation kits are separate.

The JD site implies that the the connection kit shown is included with the Ftank25. It isn't. They provide plastic 90 degree barbs that slip into rubber grommets in holes in the tank. While it will work, it's not the best arrangement, even for diesel. When Vetus drilled the holes in the tank, they didn't bother to clean out the plastic shavings in the tank. Make sure you do! The filler tube is molded onto the tank, and is 50mm (2 inch). So, if your filler intake on the boat is 1.5 inch, you need to adapt something. I'm still working on this. Surprisingly, Vetus and JD have no adapter
