We discovered this product one day. The bottle lasted two years and it was the most fantastic lubricant we have ever used. Now we have been unable to find it no matter how many stores we shopped in. Can anyone tell where to find it?

I was a little kid in 1960 and my Uncle Gib used it in his tractor we saw how clean the engine was. He had the side cover off to inspect it. My Dad could not believe how clean it was. All Uncle Gib said was that is what MARVEL MYSTERY OIL will do. Today I still use it and have always been happy. I also use in in my gasoline. Things for gas and oil come and go,but I will still stay with MARVEL MYSTERY OIL. Why use something else when you have the best!!!
Thank you so very much,
Hal W.
I drive Nitro Methane Radio Controlled cars and mosnter trucks. I use this as a build oil when assembling, and as an after run oil when I am finished driving them for the day. I have never had an engine issue. I run the absolute snot out of my engines and they always run great. When I tear down for a cleaning, they are always nice and clean absolutely great. When I store my engines for the winter I load them up with Marvel and put them on the shelves, come spring time and I fire them up, they smoke a bit (burning out the MMO) and then they run great. I have had friends wear out motors and I run mine 100% harder than them. Only difference in engine care is I run MMO they use WD-40 or "after run oil" from the hobby shops at 5.00 a little bottle....my 1 qt of Marvel will last me all year. I also put it in the fuel of all of my yard equipment. My snowblower is a 31 year old Ariens, Tractor is a 26 year old Simplicity....

My uncle raced nitro-burning Harleys for 20 years and recommends MMO, so I started using it when I was a teenager. Today's oils are very good and if you change it ON TIME I doubt there's much benefit to using MMO in the crankcase, but in the fuel it's another story. I've been driving since 1978 and I have never had a fuel related issue. I bought a 14-year-old bike last year that ran well but would starve for fuel at high speed. It has a vacuum operated fuel valve (for safety) that is known to not open all the way, causing this problem. Several months later with MMO in the fuel, the problem is gone. Chew on that, MMO skeptics! I'm not sure when it went away as I don't ride fast all the time, but now that it's spring again I wrung it out and the problem is GONE. I know that most additives are snake oil. They won't cure a worn-out engine, and they won't increase your mileage measurably, if at all, and I don't hope for miracles in a bottle, but MMO is a superior lubricant that penetrates and dissolves deposits, period. It's the oldest additive on the market and the FTC has never gone after them. Probably because it works!

I've been using this "snake oil" for twenty five years on my own vehicles upon the recommendation of a mechanic and I have never had any engine or fuel system problem, ever. I use one part Marvel to four parts of the cheapest 20/50 SAE motor oil and the best oil filter I could find for the crankcase system. I cut it with 20/50 since I get more viscosity than with 10/40. For 5/30 engines you should probably try cutting with 10/40. Marvel will definitely lower the viscosity of whatever oil you use.
For fuel systems, I periodically mix about 8 to 12 ounces into a twenty gallon tank of gasoline depending on how low the gauge is.
I ran a 1984 Dodge Van with a 318 V8 with a carburetor 125,000 miles until I wrecked it, 17 - 21 miles per gallon around town and on the highway.
I ran a 1993 Saturn 300,000 miles until I just got sick of driving it, 27 - 32 miles per gallon city and highway. At the end it burned 8 ounces of motor oil per 350 miles. However, I beat this hog and I routinely drove it at 80 miles per hour and often more up and down the mountains in New England.
I currently run a 2003 Dodge AWD Sport minivan with a fuel injected 3.8 liter V6. I've run it 50,000 miles so far at 20 - 22 miles per gallon up and down those same New England mountains. It has 120,000 on it now.
Marvel is not cheap at 15 or 20 bucks a gallon. However, when used regularly, according to the instructions on the label, in the crankcase and mixed with gasoline, it cleans all the junk out of the crankcase oil system and your fuel system over time. If your engine is in good shape and you change your oil, plugs and wiresets when you are supposed too, then do be surprised by a noticeable improvement in mileage and smoother operation almost immediately after starting use of it. I believe it is worth the price in that it has eliminated major repairs in my case.
If you hear knocking and pinging at cold start do not be surprised when it disappears after using Marvel. If your engine is too loose then its too late. Nothing will improve an engine that's beyond proper mechanical tolerance except a rebuild.
This stuff is no joke. Before the mechanic recommended it to me I was in the military and I worked on a lot of rusty crusty vehicles from the tropics to the arctic. We invariably had a crate of nondescript nameless olive drab colored cans of penetrating oil, type one each, with a national stock number for military supply. The first time I cracked open a can of Marvel bought from a civilian auto parts store, I immediately recognized the scent. Its the same stuff. The military has been using it for seventy years or more.
Its the only additive that I ever use. I've been told that the secret is in the fact that its a very light weight penetrating oil along with a boron additive that dissolves varnish and sludge. That's why you must use the best crankcase oil filter that you can find. You want to trap all the junk in the filter so that it does not circulate back through the crankcase systems. The boron additive apparently polishes engine surfaces thus contributing to smoother operation.
Marvel is also very good on anything that's rusted. It eats rust. I know some guys that even poured it into completely seized, rusted motor blocks that sat for years, decades even, let it soak through and then broke the seize with a starter and ran the things as well! Not for the meek, though.
Whatever, I don't work for them or own stock in them, I just know it works. Remember, when all else fails, follow instructions.
Good Luck & Godspeed.

I can only say that I have a 1990 Saab Turbo with 206,000 miles. I drive it every day. I use MMO often, and for the last 3 years. The engine works better with it. I don't know why. My mechanic swears by it. For him, it's like WD-40. He uses it on his food, as massage oil on his wife, that kind of thing. I'm not there yet, but I've come to believe in it. And trust in it.

I have used MMO for years to reseat rings in engines that have been sitting unused for long periods of time. Recently I used MMO in my 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII and discovered an added benefit. The check engine had been on for 6 months with a diagnosis of a stuck fuel injector. I tried many other products to free the injector without success. After 1 1/2 tanks of gasoline with MMO added, the injector released and the check engine light is out! Inadvertently, I saved myself hours of aggrevation and hundreds of $$$. Best [$] I ever spent!! Give it a try.

I've used Marvel Myatery Oil for the last 40 years in all, or almost all gasoline, powered autos, aircraft and other things that I've owned. The engines show less wear, run smoother, quieter and have fewer maintance problems than engines run w/o MMO. Every auto I trade-in is usally snapped up by one of the mechanics who work for the dealer I buy from. I will use MMO in everything I use as MMO has proved itself to me time and again to save engine wear and tear, prevent carbon build-up and enhance gasoline mileage.

For the first time I am about to try Marvel Mystery Oil...Used to be a Certified Technician worked for Ford Back in the day...I think I may have added too much, I put 8 ounces to 11 gallons of fuel,lol....To clean out engine carbon I mixed 1 part distilled water and 1 part Mystery, applied to intake at 1500 rpm through spray bottle into intake...Lowered RPM to idle then finished off the bottle til engine systematicaly stumbled...Let soak in for 25 minutes...Took Crown vic out for a hot supper...Noticed some increased power, suspect there is some acetone in this along with light lubricant, seams to work well softening carbon buildup on valves....I am very reluctant to use it as an engine flush though, definetely would not leave it in the oil...Next I will try putting it on a cheeseburger....

I have been a mechanic for many BMW dealerships and AUDI dealerships. I now own my own shop in Maryland and have used Marvel Mystery Oil for many years. I run it in my 06 Hennessey Viper. That is how much i tust it. I even use it when rebuilding enginges, as a assembly oil. The stuff works bottomline use it in everyting even small engines like lawnmowers.

I started to have engine knock (tap-tap-tap) on startup when the engine was cold. A friend of mine recommended Marvel years ago, but I never tried it. My mechanic said it sounded like I had a lifter sticking? Anyway I put a pint bottle in the oil and ran the truck 30 miles. Next morning the tap-tap-tap was gone! Have not heard it again. Awesome stuff. Thank you.

It probably doesn't hurt anything, but it certainly doesn't confer any benefits either. The stuff is just 5W oil. No mystery, and not that marvelous. Save your money and skip the too-good-to-be-true wonder products.

Heard of others using it in their aircraft. I had one exhaust valve stick twice before using MM Oil and not once since.

I've used this product for years...when I see how many pro's use it and heavy machine makers and repairers using it.. Caterpillar etc I was convinced this is a great additive..!
