TH marine skeg is a direct replacement for outboard and I/O lower units. It is made of solid cast aluminum and welds to existing lower units renewing original look and performance. Replacement skegs are available for OMC-V6, OMC V4, OMC 50-70 HP Models, Mercury V-6 and Stern Drive Models.

Original skeg on the lower unit was pretty dinged up, the price was right. Local weld shop (GG's custom metals) wes able to remove the old skeg and get the new one on while i waited! A bit of black paint and my alpha one looks like new! Thanks JD!

I got this skeg replacement at the suggestion of one of the forums onine. It is a decent inexpensive replacement for a broken skeg. I do not understand the powder aluminum finish on this part. It would have been better with a flat finish. It was quite easy to sand and get ready for the welder. There is a beveled edge at the top of the skeg for the welder but I am not sure that this helps. Then again I am not a welder. You will need to get a good welder to put it on and do not skimp on the welding. If you do not knw how to weld aluminum and attempt to weld it do not blame the product.
