Teleflex QC II Replacement Steering Cable Assemblies are a direct Replacement for Teleflex SSC62 (used in Safe-T QC & NFB Systems) and SSC72 (used in Safe-T TS & Big-T Systems) and fit most Teleflex rotary helms made after 1968. The QC II features the patented Quick Connect cable hook-ups. These cables can be used on boats with inboards, outboards & stern drives, with single or twin motors. Kit comes with converter to change threaded-spigot helms into quick-connect helms. [...] Product works great;very happy with quality and finished job. Only problem was that the directions didn't apply to my inboard/rudder. Cable fed in from top, not the bottom. But once I figured that out, everything works great, and the steering wheel is in the exact straight position.

Great people to deal with, either by phone or the internet. Video was a great help, but try this on a pontoon boat with u-tube configuration. Took a little time to complete, but well worth the little investment. Shopped this cable locally and no one could touch this price. I have restored and rebuilt a 20' pontoon boat with the help of "JD" and would recommend them to anyone from the smallest of projects to the large restoration projects.

Between the video presentation and product description I was able to update and install this cable on my Boston Whaler with relative ease. The website provided excellent information on the difference of the former cable series number SSC62 in comparison to the new replacement series. I recommend this product to anyone for repair or upgrade to their helm. I was impressed by the pricing [...]and will be using "JD" in the future and have recommended the company to friends.

Looked around at the local boating supplies and was suggested replacing the cable and helm to the newer version since the one on my boat was obsolete. Found Jamestown on the web with a replacement cable at the lowest price. Was a little sceptical but this unit has a adapter that locks on the end of the steering cable which in turn screws into the older helm. Easy to install [...]
