This epoxy is very easy to use and to mix. The pumps make it a breeze and keep you from making too big of a mess. Much easier to stir in a cup then folding together with putty knives. I bought this with the medium hardener, because I thought the low viscosity would be versatile for wood sculpture. I have not use it for fiberglass yet, but i have used it for joining wood together. Not the best for straight gluing without dowels or nails. I just waited until it started to set and thicken up (about 20 minutes with the medium hardner). I suppose I should have gotten the FLAG for that. My mistake, but it does bond extremely well when dried. Also leaves a nice and smooth clear glossy finish. Minimal bubbles with the medium, but still a couple.

This is my first fiberglassing experience of any kind. Of course I used the slow hardener being unsure of my skill.

Comments about MAS MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin:
I'm a long time WEST-system epoxy user, but I wanted to coat the floorboards for my inflatable with something where blush wouldn't be a problem. I found a website comparing many resins and their blush characteristics and recommending this as no-blush, easy use. That turns out to be just right. I applied the resin with a Whizz "weenie roller", and it went on beautifully. The only problem is that the roller DOES introduce bubbles into the resin; I should have tipped it off with a foam brush, but I though that with the medium cure, the bubble would have time to pop themselves. I was wrong, and the first side I coated now has a slightly rough surface because of the trapped bubbles. The second side, on the other hand, which I DID tip off, came out beautifully. And I've since used the resin for a few small glue-up jobs on teak parts and it's worked fine. [I clean the teak areas to be bonded with a little xylene to remove some of the oil and give the resin a better chance to get a good grip, by the way).

I work with reclaimed wood at present I am working with 40-year-old White Oak that was warehouse flooring. It is roughdry wormholes, knotholes, nail holes, beetle holes, water damage, and splits. I use the low viscosity with the slow hardener this allows to the epoxy to fill the cracks and holes. This cuts my repair time in half an added benefit is easy to color and most of the air holes come out on there own, a quick pass over with a propane torch takes care of the rest.

I've used different epoxies in building cedar strip canoes and kayaks and I am very pleased with the results of this epoxy. It wets out easily and it cures slowly without blushing and gives you plenty of time for application. After curing there are less runs and bumps to sand and scrape off then previous epoxies that I have used. It sands well.

Comments about MAS MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin:
Used MAS Epoxy as only adhesive to build and protect entire stitch and glue boat. Used in temperatures as low as 50 degrees with temperature dropping below freezing several times during curing of several panels. All panels cured without any problems. The best epoxy I have ever used.

Comments about MAS MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin:
It wets out easily. Cures with medium hardener pretty quickly at 70 degrees. It was sandable the next day. And the part came out good. I have used MAS Low Vis dozens of times with no problems. Thats about as good as it gets.
Here we are laminating 6 oz cloth with MAS Low Vis
