I'm a Paint contractor and use Fill-It to repair rotted, chipped and damaged wood trim. The great thing about it is, it is so hard and durable yet it is very easy to sand. I trim any excess off with a utility knife then sand smooth. It also bonds extremely well and once its sanded and painted you would never know you used it.

I was very pleased with the performance of this product. I am a home owner and have a wood sliding glass door. Living in the Midwest with our sevre winters, the moisture of the snow rotted out part of the bottom frame of my sliding glass door. Replacement of the door would have cost me over $1000.00! By using this product, I was able to preserve the wood and prolong the replacement of my slider. After painting the repaired area, it esthetically has a perfect look to the rest of my windows, plus it certainly saved me a lot of money! I would definitely recommend this product for outdoor use, especially on wood i.e. decks, fences, wood house trim, etc.

I used Fill It on the bottom of my vintage wood boat to fill screw holes, repair rotted wood (the bad wood was removed), and raise up concave areas, After two seasons, still perfect. This product is as advertised- easy to use, easy to shape, sands easy, builds up nicely, takes paint excellent, completely impervious to water. 10 out of 10

This is great stuff. Tthis is incredibly durable and easy to use. It needs to be top coated but by painting another layer of CPES, it bonds very well to any paint. I've used this to repair rotting T-111 siding, a decaying hardboard garage door, and window sills. Stands up to Michigan winters and summers.
Comments about Smith and Co Smiths Fill-It Epoxy Filler:
Had a Window Sill rotted from an unnoticed outside leakage.
Having restored a wooden boat and using the Smiths
Rot Sealer I returned to this product and then applied the Epoxy Filler. Job well done and saved me from the need to replace the window saving many dollars.
All Products are not for Marine use only such as this Smiths combination.

Comments about Smith and Co Smiths Fill-It Epoxy Filler:
This is an excellent filler with good strength and good workability for structural repairs to wood. It is thick when uncured and won't sag for vertical applications. Note: this product does not work well as a general cosmetic fairing putty or sanding sealer because it is too heavy to spread thinly and the glass fibers make it too difficult to sand.
