Evercoat Polyester Gel Coat Scratch Patch makes easy, permanent, color-matched repairs on hairline cracks, small scratches, nicks, gouges and chips in gel coat, fiberglass hulls and decks without sanding or using catalyst.
To use the Gel Coat Scratch Patch, fill in the crack, let it set and scrape off the excess with the included spreader. It works great on fiberglass boats, decks, bathtubs, shower stalls and hot tubs. Color mistakes can be removed with mineral spirits. Blend for match. Use resin colorant to tint white Scratch Patch for close match.

I attempted to use this product to fix some hairline cracks on the bottom gelcoat of my wooden boat. My first attempt proved the product would not penetrate the cracks, so after routing the cracks with a Dremel, I reapplied the product. Following the directions, I waited the fifteen minutes then removed excess material with the enclosed scraper, pulling the then gummy scratch patch right out of the scratches. On to the next product...
