I have used this product to repair the deck of a red fiberglass kayak and it worked well. Using color agents from Jamestown I was able to get a very good color match. But to quart size is too large. A 1/2 pint size would be handy and there are no directions for mixing small amounts. I would love to have didrections for mixing an ounce of gel coat with drops of the MEK. I ended up using 16 drops per ounce and it seemed to be OK.

I'm refinishing an old board boat so old gelcoat was shot. Use the stuff with wax if not shooting into a mold. White on white is tricky so be sure not to apply too thick and make sure you thin it enough.
Comments about Jamestown Distributors White and Neutral Gelcoats:
This works as advertised. Used 4-5% MEK to thin it to shoot thru a cup gun. Waiting 2-3 minutes for the solvents to flash between coats. Quite a bit of orange peel. Solved with alot of wet sanding and rubbing compound.

Comments about Jamestown Distributors White and Neutral Gelcoats:
If you want to thin the product out effectively,so that it will cure and not be tacky to the touch, then use a product called "Patch Booster". Read the directions and don't use to much.

Comments about Jamestown Distributors White and Neutral Gelcoats:
comes with no directions and no instructions, does don't tell you what you can delute it with or how to be applied such as air gun, or roller. No mixing instructions execpt don't use more that 2 or 4 teaspoons per quart. Did not work or dry well in large areas, but did work well when applied with a brush in small spot repairs. Wish it had alot more directions and what you could mix with it to thin it out for a sprayer.

Comments about Jamestown Distributors White and Neutral Gelcoats:
Much better than West Marine Gelcoat which I had sections which did not harden. I had to wipe off with Acetone and then reapply. This happen more than once.
1 Your product was less expensive
2 It hardened every time
3 I spayed i small section and would like to get a smoother finish by having a greater dilution. How much would you recommend???
