I purchased the book as a Christmas gift for my son-in-law who is a somewhat experienced power boater. I hope he gets as much from it as he can.

Comments about Chapman Chapman Book of Piloting and Seamanship - 66th Edition:

The most important things about handling a boat are often learned when the conditions are difficult and an unpleasant experience inhibits learning or even a return to the water. Spending some time with this book gives you a better understanding of what the captain is doing so you can be a better deckhand.

Comments about Chapman Chapman Book of Piloting and Seamanship - 66th Edition:

Chapman is still the most complete source of nautical related information. Many organizations use it as a text book- that should tell you something. If you use a boat you can use this book.
