Any time I use fasteners into a metal I use this. Great for preventing the corrosion from stainless fasteners through Harken aluminum parts.

Comments about Ultra Tef-Gel Ultra Tef-Gel:

TefGel is the real deal. Don't use any "pretenders". For preventing dissimilar metal corrosion, corrosion in general and anti-seizing, it's the best. I've use it on every electrical connection I've made in the last 10 years and haven't had a corrosion-related failure yet. Great stuff.

I used tef gel on the packing in the stuffing box- buttered some in with gland nut backed oout, then hand tihtened til some pushed out the shaft...then 1/4 more turn- stuffing box performs well year after year- no annual adjustment needed...

Comments about Ultra Tef-Gel Ultra Tef-Gel:

This stuff works. It looks expensive but it only takes a thin film to make it stop the dissimilar metal corrosion. It takes a little work to get it off your hands and has the consistency of very sticky grease. It seems to a better than grease substitute for items in a harsh environment.

Comments about Ultra Tef-Gel Ultra Tef-Gel:

Tef-Gel was originally recommended to mr by professional riggers. I have used it to isolate stainless fasteners from an aluminum mast, and have no visible galvanic corrosion after about seven years. The best indicator of its anti-sieze properties is an anchor shackle that I treated about six years ago. Yesterday I removed the shackle with only a pair pliers although it had been used often in the intervening years.
