18-8 Square Head Auger Point Deck Screws. Single Auger point Deck Screws are excellent for outdoor applications. Self Drilling Type 17 Auger points are great for pressure treated lumber and other decking materials. You cannot get away without predrilling your screwholes but Auger points certainly make it easier to drive into hardwoods. Marine grade Stainless Steel for excellent outdoor corrosion resistance. These deck screws have a bugle head. A bugle head has a comparatively small head diameter to the width of screw shank. Combined with a curved radius undercut (like the shape of a bugle), the bugle head eliminates the need to countersink.
