M5 metric thread Socket set screws install flush, like a machine screw but without a head. Also called hex tips or hex screws, they use an allen wrench or a hex bit as the driver. Commonly used in repairing electronics, such as televisions and radios. Socket set screws are fully threaded (the entire length is thread) and the ends have a cup point. Made of 18-8 stainless steel (also called A-2 stainless steel.)
