These are terrific, if expensive fasteners for making storm panels. I used a box during my prep for Hurricane Irene and found that they work as advertised. An advantage of the square drive head is that you can back them out if you wish (my wife does not want me to leave them in) whereas you cannot do that with SS hanger bolts. One reference for these indicates that you need four fasteners per window. I would plan on at least six for a typical window.
