The soft type winch handle holder like this one is a good choice in and around the cockpit. It is best to have a permanent storage spot for the winch handles. Loose on the seat is not the way to go. People will step or trip on loose handles and all sorts of bad things will happen. Cheap preventative insurance. Buy two. One for each side.
