The Commander XP 7x50 binoculars are the result of years of input from competition sailors, sport fisherman, offshore cruisers and naval special forces. The outcome is the most modern marine binoculars that features Steiners latest innovations in High Definition optics. The Commander XP uses a large 50 mm objective lens in conjunction with XP optics to provide exceptional clarity and brightness in all light conditions. Light transmission actually peaked at over 96%, the highest ever recorded. These binoculars also use Steiners exclusive fully mutli-coated NANO protected lenses that makes spray and condensation bead-up and roll off. The NANO lens coating eliminates the need for cleaning with a cloth by only requiring a quick rise under running water to remove dirt and debris, then can be hand-shook to dry. All of the Commander Series binoculars have been pressurized nitrogen filled to eliminate internal moisture and lens fogging. The result is tough, lightweight, waterproof and fully submersible binoculars that meet Military specifications. The Commander XP features Steiners Sport Auto-Focus with memory eye-pieces so you can recover your personal setting at any time, even in darkness. The Sport Auto-Focus system creates a sharp and clear depth of field that once adjusted to your eyes, keeps all subjects in focus at distances from approximately 20 yards to infinity. Another recent change is the rugged exterior made of new NBR Long-Life Armoring that provides comfortable ergonomics and the durability to last twice as long as conventional rubber coatings. The NBR armoring also provides a secure, slip-proof grip when wet.
