I purchased this chart kit for a delivery of a sailboat from Hyannis to Maine, out Pollock Rip straight to Penobscot Bay. It covered everything in sufficient detail, even for our route 55 nm offshore, with harbors laid out in insets. Excellent resource for coastal navigation.
I would strongly recommend getting the vinyl zip cover before you head out with this kit, as the one supplied is cheap and split at the seams. These kit pages are not waterproof, and the vinyl cover would have saved water damage to a few pages. As the kit is not waterproof, I would recommend a simple waterproof slop chart as well for cockpit use for any close shore navigation work. Once the kit is zipped in the good vinyl cover, it is inevitable that you have to go below to flip pages, another drawback in wet weather. But overall, easiest to use of any chartbook I've come across, with flow to corresponding charts marked on the perimeters of every page.
