The initial use is 1/16" cable. A bit of overkill, but future uses include larger diameter cable. Tool looks substantial enough for the future use. Only problem is everyone wants a demo (not the tool's fault)and ferrules get used quickly.
Will be making lanyards to keep tools attached where they belong, and out of manholes the tools could fall into.

I have had this tool for many years. It does not get much use but when I need it it works as it was designed to. I have only used it on 3/16 cable with plated copper sleeves and it is a handful to squeeze. The handles could stand to be a bit longer for the larger size cable sleeves.
This is a well made tool as it should be for the price.
