Epifanes Full Brush is Elliptical in shape. This is a great all-purpose brush and resembles most American flat brushes but has a much greater holding capacity. The bristles are short enough to offer good control with varnishes yet still offer a soft touch at the bristle ends. This all-purpose brush can be used for varnish or high end topside paints.

Using for varnish on antique mahogany runabout. Now on the fourth coat and bristles are continuing to shed. I am very disappointed in this expensive brush.

I have tried them all, this is nicest brush I have ever used or owned. I have had mine 6 years it just gets better with use and proper care. Worth the $ if you are looking for the best to do high quality work and are tired of throwing away brushes. I use the 1 1/2' size all topside painting yearly on my swampscott dory

I have used these brushes aboard my boat for refinishing cabinets to the cabin sole and have been very pleased with the results. I am able build up a smooth thickness with fewer coats

I've owned a lot of brushes in my life, but none as good as this one. I was refinishing some hatch boards with very shiny varnish and had been unable to eliminate lap marks from the finish no matter how carefully I brushed. With this brush I was able to eliminate all visible lap marks from my final finish. For me it was worth the money.
