Balbriggan 100% cotton wiping rags will not scratch surfaces and are tough enough for use on metal. Great for furniture, marine, and auto body uses alike. Balbriggan wiping rags are made of the same material as white T shirts. If you want the most absorbent rags, we recommend 100% cotton. Small amounts of polyester helps cotton to absorb faster by opening up the weave and allowing liquids to enter. Cotton rags sometimes has polyester fibers, which is a petroleum based fiber thats absorbs petroleum based liquids, such as oil.
