Comments about Back To Nature Ready-Strip Deck Stripper:
After having used a corrosive-based deck stripper that killed the grass around the deck, I was ready for a more environmentally friendly deck product. This product seems to fit the bill. Just make sure you follow the instructions. Paint the stuff on liberally and make sure you mist it with water frequently. While the label indicates you should leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes, we found the longer time was more efficient in removing the water sealant we had on the deck. You do need to scrub the surface with a brush and then pressure-wash the stripper off, but you don't have to neutralize this product as you do the corrosive ones. Some tougher coats of sealant required two applications, but overall we were very pleased with the results. Stripping a deck is never fun and no product will make it so, but Ready Strip does make the job relatively easy. More importantly, you don't end up with dead grass or plants near your deck, and can feel good you're not washing a corrosive agent into the ground or spraying it back on yourself while pressure-washing your deck. We hope that the new stain we have found will prevent us from ever having to do a complete stripping again, but if I did need to do so, I would use this product again. Highly recommended. And kudos to Jamestown for carrying it [...]
