I am a professional painter and love the feel of a real wood handle. Paint supply stores do not carry the wood anymore. A good putty knife is the most important tool a painter uses and it is important that the handle and metal blade will stand up. The steel blade is tough and flexible. The corners do not wear off like most you buy now a days.
