Comments about Proprep ProPrep Scraper Blades:

This product was recommended by a friend to remove old Cetol on my boat. Worked great the first time and I'm using them again. Use a paint-stripping heat gun to soften the varnish before scraping. Edge lasts a long time. Easy to sharpen with a file. My only gripe is they do not have a blade for convex edges like the outside edge of my cap rail. Takes lots of passes with a straight edge. There are also places where a narrower blade would be useful.

Comments about Proprep ProPrep Scraper Blades:

The steel of these blades is of exceptional quality. I am a blacksmith and the blades are as good as what I can make. I scraped the old paint off 3/4 of my house before I need to touch up the blade. It was easy to touch up.
I was worried that the blade would loosen during use, but I never had a problem.
Another reviewer mentioned that the steel is soft. He may have had a bad blade. I have found all the blades I have purchased to be quite hard.
After using this for old paint on my house, I have many other uses for this tool (furniture restoration, etc.).
A perfect combination of size, shape and materials.

I used mostly the medium channel blade to help build a cedar strip rowboat. Great for fixing flaws in green epoxy(no dust). Good in prep work for varnishing

Comments about Proprep ProPrep Scraper Blades:

I'm scraping paint off a older boat. Using a harden steel scraper for large areas. However, needed the scraper for tight areas and low angle corners. Worked well for this. Only disappointment is that the blades were not harden steel. CAn easily sharpen with a file though.

I AM REMOVING THE PAINT FROM ORIGINAL WALNUT TRIM IN A HOUSE BUILT IN 1917. THIS TOOL HAS SAVED MY LIFE! GREAT FOR WORKING FLAT AND OGEE TYPE SURFACES. NO NEGATIVES THAT I CAN THINK OF. THE FACT THAT I CAN EASILY CHANGE/REPLACE BLADES IS VERY CONVENIENT.
