The Ergo Scraper from Bahco is an ergonomically designed multi-purpose carbide scraper with carbide blades for precision work and longer life. The Ergo #665 is a powerful hand scraper for universal use on wood, metal and concrete. Great at removing paint, glue, varnish, gaskets, chalk, grout, mortar and rust. Uses flat carbide blades with 2" or 2-1/2" scraping edge. Convex to avoid damaging the work surface. The 665 scraper comes with 2-1/2" wide blades. 2-component handle for better grip and comfort.

I hesitated before spending this much on a scraper, but it is soooo much better than anything you will get in the local hardware store. The ergonomics are great -- it is easy to apply as much pressure as you need with the knob. The sharp tungsten carbide blade allows getting right down to the gelcoat, removing just the thinnest film of gelcoat. Leaves very little to be sanded.
