We used it for the primer coat on the bottom of our 27' S2 sailboat. Put three coats on. It covered very well, topcoated it with antifouling paint. We will use this again on our next boat project.

Comments about Interlux Interlux InterProtect 2000E Epoxy Primer:

Used the gray and the white overlapping to insure good coating of surfaces. A lot of work but built up a nice protective barrier on boat bottom in four coats. I have a 20' center console and used two gallons (A half gallon a coat for 4 good coats).

It might work with spray application, but with a brush following instructions line by line, it produced inferior results.

This is great primer for building layers. I used it during the restoration of a 13 Whaler. I used three coats on the bottom of a 1968 hull that was torn up. Good stuff>

Comments about Interlux Interlux InterProtect 2000E Epoxy Primer:

This is the stuff if you want to prevent osmotic blisters. I was very happy that I got 3 thick coats out of a gallon on a 17' skiff. Read the warning label - get a respirator, tvek suit, gloves etc... Read the directions carefully for bottom prep & application. There are precise (and different) windows for overcoating with itself and overcoating with the first coat of paint. These windows change with heat & humidity. There's also a pot life - so make sure you'll use what you mix before it goes bad.

Comments about Interlux Interlux InterProtect 2000E Epoxy Primer:

Product works just as advertised. I am impressed with the finish on my Whaler. Well worth the effort. Sands nice and is tough as nails.
Fumes are very strong and could knock you out! I used it outside and fumes came in the house, and could be smelled almost anywhere within site of the boat. Would recommend using a lot of ventilation and a good mask, when applying or sanding.
Fumes aside, this is a great product and performs exactly like Interlux claimed. Follow the simple directions, do the prep, and it's fool proof.

Comments about Interlux Interlux InterProtect 2000E Epoxy Primer:

My can says 5 hour recoat, upto 15 hours. After 15 hours you MUST sand.

Not sure what the TWO WEEK recoat mentioned means...?

Requires FOUR complete coats.
It's alot of work and timing to get it right.

BUT, once your done, your done.

Vapors are toxic, I'm switching to FULL face mask. Change filters as soon as you can smell it!

Believe me, it'll hit your lungs like a ton of bricks!
I chose to persevere, big mistake.
