Following directions, this product performed extremely well. Filled minor imperfections and made a great prime coat for the Interlux Topside one-part Polyurethane paint applied (2 coats) as the finish coat. I actually primed and saned the previously painted wood 3 times. I sanded with 120 grit, again 120 grit, then 180 after the 3rd prime. Results excellent. Take your time. Do not apply too thickly.

Used on cabin ceiling. Spread well and filled small imperfections. Sanded easy. I rolled it on and had to watch for lines of thick paint from roller edge. Don't put too much in roller tray at a time because it thickens fast in open container.

Used this product on refinishing a previously painted AMC Alort Puffer 1978 model sailboat. Sanded old paint. Product covered well and sanded OK. However, after applying finish coats, discovered some "orange peel effect" I attribute to my not sanding enough.

This primer is amazing!! Good coverage and fast drying. I have been doing a lot of body work to an 82 performance bass boat and decided to paint due to the extent of body work done. I used a foam roller for application, sanding between coats. By the time I was ready for paint it was flawless!! Great product. Definitely worth the $$.

This was my third boat building project and first one using Interlux. For the other two projects, I used another popular brand. While the other brands worked well, the Interlux Pre-Kote and Brightside provided a smoother finish and so far is more durable. The primer and paint went on smooth and covered well. The only complaint I have is the strong, strong odor. I did use a respirator while applying, but the odor lasted for days around the shop even with the doors open and fans going.

I used this product upon the recommendation of the interlux tech center, [...] I used this primer as an undercoat on the free-board of a Ranger22 sloop. This boat is 30 years old and had many layers of paint. It worked great, two coats of primer then three coats of Brightside polyurethane. I used a paint sprayer to apply all of it.

I'm working on a 1958 Arrowcraft cuddy boat and this is my first time using Interlux Pre Kote. This product is dry to the touch in an hour or so and I gave it a day for sanding and is working great.

Took longer to dry than advertised between sand at 60-70 degrees. Wasn't terribly impressed with coverage or sandability.

Applies easily and sands easily. Makes for a nice base upon which to apply final paint.
