This stuff has an INTENSE smell that lasts for months. I used it under the floor(bilge) of a wooden boat, and had to re-caulk just to reduce the smell by 50 percent. Rob

Comments about Cuprinol Cuprinol No. 10 Green Wood Preservative:

This is great for wood boat cradles that are usually left outside year after year. I built onefor use in l996 and it sets out side from March to Nov in Lake Erie weather and is in great shape. I recoat it ever other year. This is for a 6800lbs boat so I want a product that does not allow any rot. I also use it on a wood rudder of a small sail boat and over coat with antifouling paint. Always wear paint coveralls with hood, safety glasses, and gloves that resist mild solvents. Use a brush not roller, and tarp if you don't want floor stains. Stuff is like water and splatters Use a chemical mask with canister filters as it smells. Not for use on you back yard patio fence. Great product for specific uses and beats other so called wood preservers for uses like mine.

The Best Wood Preservative on the market. Used this product whilst building properties in the damp UK(!) have been looking for it in the US. Just happened to be walking through the isles at Menards due to having a moving sale on and saw the cans. Bought all six gallons they had on the shelf and happened to get an extra 25% discount as well!

Comments about Cuprinol Cuprinol No. 10 Green Wood Preservative:

It does a great job of protecting the bottoms of fence posts but has quite an smell. If wood must be painted, use a good primer after several days of drying or bleed through will occur.
