Deks Olje protects marine wood against the deteriorating effects of sun, salt, wind, and foot traffic. It is a special formulated oil for increased durability. It doesn't chip or peel like varnish and is easily maintained between seasons with soap and water cleanup. Available in QT or 2.5L (0.66 Gal). Deks Olje D1 is a highly penetrating oil that leaves a rich, matte finish that saturates, seals and stabilizes wood to prevent cracking. Deks Olje D2 is used over D1 to provide a hard, glossy finish that looks great on teak cap rails, skylights, hatches and other wood trim.

I have heard about Deks Olje for years but tried it for the first time this winter on a laminated stand-up paddle board paddle I built. I am a big beliver in penetrating finishes and tried the Deks Olje #1 and #2 (5 coats of #2)and the final result is amazing...deep thick finish unlike any oil product (tung/ Watco) I have used. I am anticipating wear and the Deks finish should be easy to touch up at the end of the season...Makes my varnish jobs look bad (whch they are.)
