Comments about Pettit Z-Spar Z-Spar Topside Enamels:

We used the high gloss black as a waterline stripe on our Florida based 34' sailboat. I did not add thinner and the 98deg day caused the paint not to "flow" as much as I wanted. It was applied with a small foam roller. If I had thinned it down, as specified in the instructions,,,,, it would have given me the sprayed look I wanted. It still is an impressive finish and will not be redone.

Used on hull of 22 foot wooden boat. Rolls and brushes beautifully, no marks. Sensitive to surface imperfections (cracks, grain) showing through.

I have been using the Z-Spar white enamble both on the interior, and the exterior cabin-top, of my 25' wooden sailboat.

I have had good results in all applications.

Comments about Pettit Z-Spar Z-Spar Topside Enamels:

I used to use Petit Easypoxy which is very good, but I had heard very good things about Z-spar and wanted to give it a try. I was not dissappointed, Z-spar flowed out nicely after brushing on. I experimented by using the roller then tip off method on one part of the boat and just brushing on another. The brushed part looked as good or better. And the semi gloss looks great. People have thought the boat was fiberglass, because you can't see the brush strokes. Also, it was a good value compared to other top brands. I will use this from now on.

Comments about Pettit Z-Spar Z-Spar Topside Enamels:

I've been using their solid coat gloss white on my 36 foot yawl every year for 27 years. I have experimented with several other brands but none can compete. Every word in their product description is the truth. No - I am not on their payroll !
