Groco Pipe-to-Hose 90 Degree connectors are threaded with NPT (tapered) male pipe thread, and are for use with Groco Seacocks, Groco Raw Water Strainers or with any product with tapered female pipe thread. The use of Groco Pipe-to-Hose 90 Degree connectors on products with NPS (straight) pipe thread is recommended only for low pressure applications, and then only with a generous application of pipe sealant or PTFE thread tape. All critical hose connections should be double clamped at both ends. Ideally, the hose clamp screws should be mounted opposite one another for maximum security. Use the highest quality AWAB hose clamps for longest life and best performance.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I use only bronze fittings for the critical hose connections on my boat. Particularly when the hose runs are below the water line. Never, never use brass fittings around saltwater. I don't much like plastic hose fittings on a boat- the cheap PVC hardware store fittings don't fit marine hose and are not strong or durable. Bronze is boss!
