Groco Pipe-to-Hose 90 Degree connectors are threaded with NPT (tapered) male pipe thread, and are for use with Groco Seacocks, Groco Raw Water Strainers or with any product with tapered female pipe thread. The use of Groco Pipe-to-Hose 90 Degree connectors on products with NPS (straight) pipe thread is recommended only for low pressure applications, and then only with a generous application of pipe sealant or PTFE thread tape. All critical hose connections should be double clamped at both ends. Ideally, the hose clamp screws should be mounted opposite one another for maximum security. Use the highest quality AWAB hose clamps for longest life and best performance.

Just what was needed. [...] did not handle this product and while re-configuring the plumbing on the Bowman heat exchanger on my Perkins 4-108 this was the perfect solution. 1" ID hose coming out of the back of the Bowman heat exchanger flowed perfectly to this elbow without further adapters or loss of flow.
