I've bought it to keep the lazarette dry. The rainwater find it's way there and some water accumulates so when I first saw it, I bought two, one for my boat and another one for my kid's dinghy. It just doesn't work at all. Yes it pumps a few drops of water but not the announced many gallons a day!

The product works, but the "return" spring within the bellows is too strong to allow my 8' lightweight dink to get much of a stroke from the pump. As a result, the dink is very slow to empty. The unit would work much better with a heavier boat hanging on it.

I always worry that when I go out of town for a few days, that my gondola will be full of water, after the electric bilge pump fails.... with Drainman, I can leave town and sleep at night. Wish I had invented it!
