I purchased this heater for a 32' sailboat. The slim design and integrated unit made installation a breeze, even in tight "locker space" quarters. I wired it through an auto-switching inverter and on/off switch w/light to be able to monitor status as well as have flexibility of use. It works perfectly on shore power or inverter power (make sure you have ample house batteries) so I don't need to run the engine after every use. I can also switch it off when the engine is running so I'm not using the inverter. Love the low power demand.
