Comments about W.L. Fuller 16 Inch Spade Bits:
I purchased a vintage wicker chair with a broken arm support. I used this drill bit to create a channel for a new dowel to repair the support -- I drilled upward from the leg of the chair since that is the support that was broken, since the wicker wrapping around the damaged joint didn't allow me to use a shorter dowel. It took a few tries on a practice dowel to get it right, but the the fix is just what I hoped for -- turning a $5 tag sale chair into a beautiful vintage wicker classic. I'd recommend practicing on a dowel before drilling the chair arm, though -- unless you're experienced with a long drill bit!
