Finally I can machine sand with 220 between varnish coats without swirl marks and breaking through finish. This lightweight finish sander is dust free, swirl free and reduces sanding time between multiple varnish coats by 50% over hand sanding. I have all of the Fein dust free sanders and there is just no comparison. The Festool Sanders are truly revolutionary and a must have for anyone who works on wooden boats and who does finish work with varnish and lacquer

I use mine for sanding fiberglass on small boat hulls and love the dust extraction system. (That stuff is nasty!) I changed the sanding pad for the first time in two years of hard use and didn't like the odd screw head that holds it. minor gripe. Can't overemphasize the importance of using dust extraction and this tools system works very well with a vacuum.Best feature in my mind? [...]

Needs more power. This sander is great for detailed work above 180 grit. It is not agressive at all but great for fine to very fine sanding. Festool need something in between the RO 125 FEQ Rotex Sander and this sander.
