The Shrinkfast 998 Heat Gun is lightweight at just 2 pounds 2 ounces. It's ergonomic design permits extended use without discomfort, as it is perfectly balanced and features a cool combustor for operator comfort. This extremely durable heat gun provides adjustable power ranging from 134,000 BTU/HR @ 15 PSI to 212,000 BTU/HR @ 30 PSI. Great for shrink wrap jobs and other tasks that call for a powerful heat tool. Shrinkfast has improved upon the 975 in several ways beyond making it lighter and more comfortable to use. The 998 features wide even heat pattern up to 18" in a single pass, and depressing a single button lets you adjust combustor orientation. The quick disconnect combustor makes it easy to attach an extension for easier wrapping of hard to reach areas. Propane fired: Propane and Tank NOT included.

the best gun you'll find and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else .. trust me i looked. i used to borrow one from a friend for years to do my 25' boat, my buddy's boat and jet skis, then i decided to buy one myself and my son will be able to make some money on the side in a few years too .. in addition to shrink wrapping our boat!!

When the gun is cold the piezo lighter sometimes takes a bunch of tries to light the gun. Seems to help if you hold the gun vertically. Great shrinkwrap gun, like one of the other reviewers said, the price is a little steep - but Jamestown had the best price!

An excellent heat gun to shrink wrap a boat. Thoughtful design. Easy to use. Work's as promised and expected. Manufacturer posts helpful how-to videos on YouTube.

Only downside is cost. If you can squeeze it into your budget, buy it and capitalize the cost over the life of your boat. You'll save a lot over time. If you sell your boat (and don't buy another one), include the gun and the boat will sell in twenty-four hours.

We were looking for a gun to do the dreaded boat wrap in the fall. We have used the cheap "weed killer" guns in the past with very limited success. I spent the extra this year on the shrink fast gun as per the [...] tech's recommendation. All I can say is WOW. What a difference. So I paid more for a pro gun but the job went 10 times faster and here it is in march and the boat is still wrapped! Easy to control, easy to use, lightweight and quickly qets rid of unwanted arm hair if you let it. I highly recommend the "right tool for the job"
