3M - Scotch 2090 Blue Painter's Tape
This medium adhesion flat-back tape removes cleanly from the surface for up to 14 days. This tape is sunlight resistant and is recommended for interior and exterior use.
2090 is ideal for most smooth or delicate surfaces such as: most fresh paints, wallpaper, wood surfaces and wall board.
Water-based, sovent based and stain coatings can be applied. Not compatible with lacquer coatings or surfaces.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I always keep several rolls in different widths in my shop. The blue tape is the stuff to use! Ordinary brown masking tape can be very touch to remove if left on a surface too long. I never have any problems with the blue stuff.
