The floatation foam is easy to use but make sure you have a big enough hole to put it in because once it starts to foam up you could have a problem getting it in a small hole. Use good rubber gloves because you do not want to get it on you. Get everything ready to go together before you put the foam in so it will be trapped and forced to go where you want it to go. Make sure you know how much area you are filling because you do not want to over fill or it can do damage. You are better off starting with less and then adding more once the first pour has expanded.
Excellent price for this item, as compared to WestMarine and other suppliers. Two part floation foam is recommended by professional boat builders as the best material to meet USCG requirements. This foam resists absorbing water, creates a higher bouyancy per cubic inch than most other materials, and also helps strengthen the hull and deaden sound. In my project, two - two gallon kits was adequate to fill the below deck void space of my 18 foot Walk-Through runabout, single deep V hull.[...]
One fourth the price of competitors product. Installed under new boat floor to restore to factory specifications. Made my 70 mph boat floor and bottom solid as new. Deadens sound well.
